Norton Disney, 28 May 1862 --Sudden Death- Charles Pratley, formerly a wood-keeper to the Earl St. Vincent, expired suddenly at the above named village on Saturday week, and on Wednesday an inquest was held before Mr. Coroner Hitchins, of Lincoln. The deceased, who has latterly been unemployed, was subject to heart disease for wich complaint he had been attended by Mr. Johnson, surgeon, of Bassingham, and had consulted Dr. Morton, of Newark. He was apparently as well as usual the night preceding, and on Saturday Morning got up to light the fire. Whilst so doing he was taken ill, and at six o'clock was found dead on the floor, with his head on the fender. There being no doubt that the cause of death was disease of the heart, the jury returned a verdict accordingly.
